There’s really nothing like a meal in our restaurant. The sense of quiet soaring at the edge of our terrace. The fresh food from farms and fishing boats around Zihua. The connections with one another. This place was built for moments to remember.
The best beach in Zihuatanejo is just down a winding hillside road. La Ropa Beach is legendary. It ‘s bent palms over warm, sheltered saltwater. It’s sparkling new resorts, long-lived iconic hotels, and local Zihua families, mingling together easily over a long and ambling stretch of sand. Body surfing with the kids, massages in the breeze, long walks and friendly talks with old mariachis. There’s no place quite like La Ropa beach. And it’s right in our backyard.
Each room at Tentaciones is steeped with personality – each, like the parts of a real house, has its own shape, its own features, its own balcony style and bathroom and bed. And each provides unique moments of magic, from first light to the setting sun. Connect. Enjoy. Settle your soul with us.
Tentaciones was built to an elevated architectural principle, rooted in Zihuatanejo’s natural landscape: every stone, every beam, every piece of plaster here reflects the earth of Zihua, its plants, and its palette of colors. And these built forms reach, up here on this hillside, for the blue sky that shines over this bay. From the earth below, to infinity above, so to speak.
Every morning in Zihua, down on the beach, dozens of wooden boats slide up onto the sand, heavy with fresh fish. Before long, the fish market comes to life in the early sunlight. Ice buckets emptying, the calls of the fishmongers, people laughing. Local chefs, taco stands, and families alike come down, all milling among the boats to gather their daily catch.
For us in Zihua, it´s a timeless ritual – simply part of living here. But for visitors, the fish market is an essential local experience. This is the real town, unpolished. Friendly, warm and real, it´s a Mexico that few visitors get to see.
